As deadline approaches and GOP horse-trading continues, will middle-class families benefit?
Grafton – As Glenn Grothman and Congressional Republicans scramble to put the finishing touches on their delayed tax plan, early reports indicate that the big losers will be middle-class families forced to pay higher taxes so the very wealthiest get a tax cut.
With the details still in flux, business executive and non-profit leader Dan Kohl issued the following statement:
“As we await the details of this GOP “plan”, I hope that Glenn Grothman will do the right thing for middle-class families. If this plan caps retirement contributions or reduces deductions for state and local taxes, middle-class families will pay more in taxes. Glenn should use whatever influence he has within his caucus to stand up for his constituents. I am not holding my breath.”
